Gas chromatography (GC):

Measure components in low ppm and ultra-trace levels, Determination of styrene purity for monomer and residual styrene for polymer.

 

Near Infrared Spectrometer:

NIR testing provide valuable quantitative and qualitative analysis for polymer and plastic materials, NIR identifies chemical bonds in a molecule by producing an infrared absorption spectrum in the range of near IR only which makes higher accuracy. The resulting spectra produces a profile of the sample. it measure % Styrene, Ethylbenzene & mineral oil, ETC.

Gel Permeation Chromatography:HPLC

It can measure Gel content ,Swelling Index ,Molecular weight and molecular weight distribution.

Chromometer :

It measure the color of the final product.

Melt Flow Indexer:

measure melt flow rate &melt volume rate & melt density

Tensile Machine:

determine tensile properties of polystyrene (strength-modulus-elongation) to know how much it tolerate with stretching.

Flexural Machine :

press on polystyrene till deformation and break to know how much it tolerate with stress.

Vicat Softening Temperature :

To determine the softening temperature of polystyrene.

Charpy Pendulum Impact Tester:

Determination of the brittleness or toughness of polystyrene( GPPS )

Izod Pendulum Impact:

Tester determination of the brittleness or toughness of polystyrene ( Hips )

*Karl Fischer device:

Moisture detection in polystyrene and monomer.

Karl Fischer titration is a titration method that uses volumetric or coulometric titration to determine the quantity of water present in a given analyte.
